Lemongrass pays homage to the quintessential dishes of Indonesian culture. The zine showcases foods originating from various regions across the archipelago and includes a breakdown of quintessential Indonesian dishes as well as step-by-step recipes.
Summary
Designing Lemongrass challenged me to think critically about visual hierarchy and how information is structured for readability and engagement. Organizing recipes meant balancing text, images, and negative space to create a layout that felt intuitive and inviting. I explored how to structure dense information, emphasize key details through layout, and maintain consistency across a multi-page format can guide reader flow and improve readability. This project strengthened my ability to present complex content in an intuitive way and deepened my understanding of how users navigate information visually.
